What We Do

What We Do

A WAY OF BEING BEFORE ACTION

Before being missionaries the sisters are Christ’s disciples because mission is a way of being before action. Unless the missionary is a contemplative he cannot proclaim Christ in a credible way (R M, 91).

Contemplation is an intimate encounter with Jesus who transforms our hearts. Blessed Mary Theresa wanted the experience of God, lived in prayer, to accompany the sisters’ activity and transform it into prayer.

The Sisters must bring the fruits of their encounter with Jesus to the apostolate, always living in God’s presence, their heart centred on God.

We are a congregation of women dedicated God and the service of the Missionary Church. We ardently desire to live entirely at the service of the kingdom of God, surrendered totally to Christ who is the centre of our lives.

The Holy Spirit who inflames, enlivens and illuminates all things, is the protagonist and driving force of Mission. For this reason we continually need, and persistently ask for, his assistance in our missionary apostolate.

Our apostolate of missionary animation, understood as informing and forming the People of God for Mission, is carried out by arousing everyone to missionary cooperation in order to procure for missionaries the spiritual and material means necessary for the evangelisation of peoples.
