A Joyful Celebration of the Feast of St. Peter Claver

With hearts filled with joy and gratitude, our community in St. Paul, Minnesota, celebrated the feast of our beloved patron saint, St. Peter Claver, on September 12, 2026. It was a beautiful day of prayer, thanksgiving, fellowship, and joyful celebration with our Religious Family, friends, and benefactors.

The celebration began at 9:00 a.m. with a special gathering of our External Members. Mother Selin gave an inspiring talk, offering words of encouragement and heartfelt gratitude for their dedication, commitment, and faithful service as members of our Religious Family. During this special occasion, our External Members renewed their consecration, and we joyfully welcomed Christine as a new member. We thank God for their generosity and their willingness to continue sharing in our missionary spirit and apostolate.

At 11:00 a.m., we gathered in our front yard for the solemn celebration of the Holy Eucharist, presided over by His Excellency, Archbishop Bernard Hebda, with the participation of approximately eight priests and two deacons.

A particularly beautiful sight was the presence of eleven young altar servers, who reverently assisted during the Holy Mass. What a joy to see these young boys serving at the altar! We pray that the Lord may inspire some of them to answer His call to the priesthood one day.

Approximately 100 people joined us for this special celebration. A wonderful choir enriched the liturgy with beautiful music, lifting our hearts in praise and thanksgiving to God.

Following the Holy Mass, we continued our celebration with an agape meal, sharing delicious food, refreshing drinks, friendship, and the joy of being together as one family in Christ.

As we enjoyed our meal, we were treated to a delightful cultural program that reflected the beautiful diversity of our Religious Family and friends. The entertainment included traditional dances from Samoa and Tonga, a lovely performance by our three young Sisters from India, and a lively Vietnamese dance presented by our Vietnamese friends and Sisters, inviting everyone to join in the fun.

It was truly a day filled with faith, love, laughter, and the joy of our shared missionary vocation. We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make this celebration so memorable.
